Dumpster Rental Cost
A dumpster rental price includes delivery, pickup, 7 days and 2 to 6 tons by size. The only extras are weight over the included tons at $75 per ton, extra days at $25, a $125 trip fee for blocked access, and $50 per mattress, tire or Freon appliance. Call for your all-in price.
What is included in the dumpster rental price?
Every dumpster rental price includes delivery, pickup, 7 rental days, disposal, and an included weight: 2 tons for a 10-yard, 2.5 for a 15-yard, 3 for a 20-yard and 4 for a 30-yard. Call for the current flat-rate base price for your size and address.
| Size | Outside L × W × H | Pickup loads* | Tons included | Rental | Best for |

What can add to my dumpster bill?
Only seven things can add to a dumpster bill, and each one is avoidable or known before you book. The two most common are weight over the included tons and extra days. Every amount below is our real rate.
| Charge | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Weight over included tons | $75 per ton, pro-rated by the pound | Debris heavier than your size includes |
| Extra days | $25 per day | Keeping the dumpster past 7 days |
| Swap (full out, empty in) | Priced as a new standard rental | Filling the dumpster before the job ends |
| Dry run / trip fee | $125 | Driver can't drop or pick up: parked cars, low wires, locked gates, or an overfilled box |
| Mattress, tire or Freon appliance | $50 each | Special processing at the landfill |
| Same-day rush | $50 | Same-day request, when a truck is available |
| Street permit | Set by your city | Placing the dumpster on a public street |
Why do dumpster prices differ by area?
Dumpster prices differ because of three costs: the landfill's tipping fee per ton (what the landfill charges to accept debris), the driving distance from the yard to your address and on to the landfill, and the debris type. Heavy, clean loads like concrete use a separate clean-fill price.
How do I get the lowest total cost?
The lowest total cost comes from the right size, not the smallest one. A too-small dumpster means a swap at a full new rental price. A dumpster kept dry and loaded flat stays under its included tons. Booking by 3 PM avoids the same-day rush fee.
- Size for the heaviest debris, then check volume.
- Clear the drop spot to avoid a $125 trip fee.
- Keep loads level with the rim.
- Keep concrete and dirt clean for clean-fill pricing.
- Call to extend before day 7 if you need longer.
When do I get the final bill?
The final invoice is emailed 3 to 5 business days after pickup, once the landfill processes its disposal logs. It shows any overage and extra days, and it includes a digital copy of the certified landfill scale ticket so you can check the weight yourself.
Questions renters ask
Why isn't one price listed for every dumpster?
Base prices are flat-rate but change by season and size, so we quote the current price for your size and address by phone. Every price includes delivery, pickup, 7 days and 2 to 6 tons. The only extras are listed on this page with their real amounts.
Is there a deposit to rent a dumpster?
Payment and deposit terms are confirmed when you book by phone. Ask about them on the call and they will be on your quote.
Why is the overage fee per ton?
The landfill charges by weight, so weight over the included tons is billed per ton. We pro-rate by the pound, so 500 lb over costs $18.75.
Do you charge fuel or environmental surcharges?
Our listed extra charges are the seven on this page. Ask on the call and any charge for your job will be on the written quote before delivery.
Is a 20-yard much more than a 15-yard?
Size prices are quoted by phone. Compare the cost of one bigger dumpster with the cost of a swap, which is a full new rental. For light debris near the limit, one size up usually costs less.
